Andrey Krasnov

Staff Software Engineer · Backend & Systems Architect

I design and build enterprise software that people rely on every day. For 25+ years I've shipped products end to end, from early-stage builds with no code base to a platform that 245 law firms trust with their clients' privileged data.

About

I'm a hands-on architect who still enjoys writing the critical-path code. Most of my career has been spent on backend systems: distributed services, data-heavy platforms, and the performance work that keeps them fast as they grow.

At SmartAdvocate I've spent 15 years helping build an enterprise legal case-management platform, first as Senior Software Architect and now as Director of Engineering. I work with the CTO to turn customer requirements into a technical roadmap, and I set the architecture and code-review standards the team builds on.

Before that I built products from scratch at startups in Israel and New York, including telecom test tools, VoIP software, and a web platform deployed for the Israel Education Department. These days I'm focused on how AI tools like Claude can make software, and the teams that build it, more useful.
